Filmmaker says Motorola may have plagiarized Super Bowl ad

Los Angeles-based independent filmmaker Mike Sarrow has questioned the originality of Motorola’s anti-Apple ads that were recently aired during the Super Bowl. The company’s ‘Empower the People’ ad is said to feature the same concept as Sarrow’s “Do Not Disconnect” short film, which also focuses on drone-like people attached to their white bearbuds….


  • Ok, so I've watched your video. I like it. It's a bit fun, interesting, and puts out a good message: people need to learn to disconnect and look around. I think I'll share this with my friends. That being said, Motorola did not steal your idea. I'm sorry, but plenty of people will agree with me, this is a coincidence. Ever heard of Blade Runner? The author of another book saw the movie while he was still writing it and it came out being the exact same. It happens, get over yourself.
